The Kitchen is…..

The kitchen is the heart of the home no matter where you live in the world. From the time you were a small child the kitchen has been a gathering place for both family and friends. You think about it when you were just born your mother would warm your milk and cereal in the kitchen for you to survive. She would warm your bottles and rice cereal in the cookware on the stove top. As you got older you would graduate to soft people food. As each year passes the food would change for you until you got to the age where you’d eat your parents and grandparents out of house and home. You learned as a child that a lot of your things happen in the kitchen. A family sits around the table next to the kitchen while others sit in front of the television enjoying their favorite Food Network show. They wander into the kitchen when the scents of the food wander into other rooms of the house.

A kitchen is a place where families catch up on all the latest gossip. It’s the place where the entire family learns about a new life and death. It’s the place where mother’s are scrambling to preparing their child’s lunches and snacks for the afterschool activities. Families gather to share each other recipes. Children learn to cook by watching their mother prepare a meal for tonight’s supper or baking tomorrow’s dessert. No matter who you are you have learned many of life’s lessons in the kitchen under your parent’s feet. It’s a special time of bonding no matter who you are or where you are in the world. A kitchen is a special place full of memories for both young and old. So remember when you enter the kitchen the walls have many stories to tell.

Have You Finished Your Holiday Shopping?

Finding the perfect gift for everyone on your list does not have to be difficult. Knock one of the names off your list, by purchasing the cook in your life something for the kitchen. Last year, my Mother purchased me a new cookware set. The set is a red nonstick with glass lids that you can see through. The glass lids make it easier for me to watch the food when it is cooking. I do not have to take the glass lids off the pots or pans, so I do not have to interrupt the cooking. Because the cookware is nonstick the clean up time is greatly reduced. If you are looking to finish off some of your Holiday shopping Stud Box has an extensive line of Dining/Kitchen products and the site is easy to navigate. They have a nice set of cookware similar to the one I received for Christmas last year. The set has 10 pieces including 2 saucepans, 1 stockpot, 2 skillets, 1 sauté pan and 4 glass lids. The cookware sets come in multiple colors and stainless steel. The sets come with a lifetime warranty which gives you piece of mind for your purchase. Studbox has a excellent deal on Paula Deen Signature 11 piece cookware set for the low price of 119.00 dollars as of today.  The set includes 2 covered saucepans, 1 stockpot, 3 open skillets, glass lids, one slotted spoon and one spatula. If you are looking for something else for the kitchen they have an assortment of kitchen/dining products for your holiday shopping. For the coffee and tea lover in your life they have tea kettles, espresso machines and a bean press coffee maker. They have kitchen utensils such as cutlery, baking utensils, baking pans, and numerous other kitchen products. This year I’m hoping to get a stainless steel microwave because my microwave is not warming up the first time. I usually have to warm my food up twice in my microwave. If I do not get a microwave I’ll be happy with anything for the kitchen.
