Do you have a recipe or willing to submit a recipe? Email nina at askmsrecipe <at> gmail <dot> com

Parting of getting in the holiday spirit is dressing up for the season. A great way to get in the holiday spirit is wearing the festive red and green for Christmas and blue for Hanukkah. No matter the reason you celebrate this time of year a fun way to celebrate is wearing the colors of the season. Some people run around wearing only a Santa or Elf hat, while others will from dress from top to bottom in festive colors. But a lot of people don’t think about wearing festive colored eyeglasses for the season.

Wearing a pair of eyeglasses is a perfect way to match your holiday clothing with your holiday spirit. It’s a way to pass on the holiday cheer to everyone everywhere. Add a few bells to your outfit and you’ll be ringing in the holiday season in style. It will not only cheer you up, but cheer everyone up around you.

If I was to pick a pair of holiday glasses I’d choose a pair I could wear all through the winter months. Then add a pair of spring glasses on March twenty. Since some places sell inexpensive eyeglasses I could afford to purchase several pairs of eye glasses rather than only one pair of glasses that costs several hundred dollars. If I Broke or lost my eye glasses it would prevent me from writing my cookbook or reading so I’d be pretty lost without them.

Do you have a recipe or willing to submit a recipe? Email nina at askmsrecipe <at> gmail <dot> com

Some people cannot start their day without a cup of coffee and I am one of them. It helps me to get my blood flowing every morning. I use a medicine cup to measure my coffee each morning- three medicine cups to eight cups of hot water from my hot water cooler. Why hot water? It brews so much better than cold water especially if you own an old or cheap coffee brewer like me. It keeps the coffee hot longer.

During the holidays, I love to purchase different flavored coffee similar to Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee. The holidays do bring out my desire to try new coffee creamers too. Three of my favorites are French vanilla, pumpkin spice, and Irish cream. Do you have a favorite coffee creamer during the holiday season?

If you don’t like Jamaican coffee you could always Buy Kona Coffee to try a new coffee flavor from the islands where the weather stays about the same year round. Where would that be, you ask? Hawaii , of course. A place I can only imagine visiting with the high waves and the beautiful weather. So I’ll just stick with coffee since it’s the greatest way to start my mornings.

How about you?

Do you have a recipe or willing to submit a recipe? Email nina at askmsrecipe <at> gmail <dot> com

As a food blogger, I know how important a watch is to making a successful recipe. I depend on my watch to keep track of how long something needs to cook. It makes more sense to use automatic watches than a cell phone in the kitchen since waterproof cell phones are rare and expensive. I’ve had the same wristwatch for several years, which I have replaced the band several times, even though the band sometimes costs more than a cheap watch at a discount store. I like the timepiece inside the watch since it keeps going and going like the energizer bunny.

A watch is important for anyone who works in the kitchen a lot. A waterproof watch would be a great gift for a cook, dishwasher or waitress since a restaurant is ran on a watch at all times. It’ll helps to keep track of how long a plate takes to serve and when to prepare a dessert.

Wearing a watch is helpful for both food bloggers and people working in the hospitality industry to keep things running on time. It’s the only way to create a perfect recipe.

How do you keep track of time while cooking or baking? Do you risk your cell phone being dunked or wear a wristwatch?

Do you have a recipe or willing to submit a recipe? Email nina at askmsrecipe <at> gmail <dot> com

Do you remember the days when you could buy a loaf of bread for fifty cents and a piece of gum for a penny? To save money on your groceries requires a little homework. I know, you are thinking I hate homework. Well this kind of homework can make you cents in your pocket instead of out of your pocket. Using coupons and the store ad to save you money does work. Let’s say your store has a sale of boneless chicken breasts once a month. You should buy your chicken once a month instead of waiting until you need the chicken breast. You will be surprised how much using SupermarketCoupons.com can fatten your wallet. Just last week I used a coupon to buy a couple packages of name brand hot dogs for a dollar a package. I could not buy one package for the price I paid for two packages. It just makes more cents to buy more when you have coupons and store ads to save you money. Some grocery stores are using a card that the cashier scans to save you money on your grocery shopping. Other stores are using the traditional coupons to save you money on your groceries at grocery store or online. It varies depending on what store you shopping at and where you live.

Email nina at askmsrecipe <at> gmail <dot> com

Going to buy groceries for my recipes is one of my favorite things to do. I usually write a menu which I use to create my shopping list and I’ll add extras to the list if I need them. I try to pick up the items on the list only, but that’s not that easy. I’ll look for coupons online or in my local Sunday newspaper before heading to the store. But before I can leave I have to get cheap auto ins Arizona to protect my vehicle in case of an accident. Once I’ve got the car insurance I can drive to the grocery store with list in hand. I usually have my coupons I’m using in front of my coupon organizer. Once I get to the store I get a store ad to purchase sale items if I do not have one. I usually start with the produce department and get my meat or frozen food last. The cold food I’ll put in the thermal bags I purchased from the store to keep them from defrosting on the way home. I don’t put the cold groceries in the trunk; instead I’ll put them in the car to keep them cool.

Do you have a recipe or willing to submit a recipe? Email nina at askmsrecipe <at> gmail <dot> com

A lot of people like to redo there kitchen and dining room, but they cannot afford to buy everything at one time. But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can redo them piece by piece. First, you can paint the kitchen from your pay check the first week then buy a new set of le creuset pans the next week. If you need to purchase a larger item for your kitchen you can put it on layaway or put the money aside each week until you have enough money to buy the item. I’ve done it this way in the past and it’s been an adventure for me. It’s nice seeing things transition in my kitchen and dining room. We need to buy a new pot rack and redo our kitchen cabinets as the paper is peeling off them. I’m not sure if we are going to paint or stain them, but we need to do it sooner rather than later. The problem is I need to leave the windows open to air the paint or stain out, but the weather will not cooperate.

Email nina at askmsrecipe <at> gmail <dot> com

In hard times we are always looking for a few bucks to help along the way. When I had to get a payday loan just to buy groceries for my family. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I had to do it or go hungry and who wants a your family to go hungry. Thankfully I was starting a second job within a couple of weeks so I was able to pay the payday loan back in one payment. I’ve never been so nervous about paying a bill back in my life. The type of loan I had would give them title to my car if I was not able to pay back the entire loan. Once I paid back the cash advance I got the title of my car back from them. There are several types of payday advance which can help you out in hard times. Some people would have issues with asking for money, but when it comes between feeding your family or paying for gas and your pride. Your pride needs to be thrown out the nearest window at least until you pay back the cash advance. You don’t even have to tell a soul if you like, but you might be surprised how supportive your friends and family can be in hard times.
