Honey Baked Ham and Cheese Pita Sandwich Recipe
6 (10-12 inch) pita bread rounds, halved
6 slice Swiss cheese, cut in half
1 (1+1/4 pounds) sliced honey baked ham
1 medium red onion, very thin sliced
1 small cucumber, peeled and thin sliced
2 medium tomatoes, slice thin
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon dried dill
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1. Stuff each half with the first 5 ingredients.
2. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, dill and paprika onto each pita .
3. Brush each pita with melted butter.
4. Place each 1/2 onto baking sheet and place into a 350 degree F. oven for 5 minutes until cheese melts or pita is lightly browned.
Side Suggestions: kidney bean salad, celery, carrot sticks and dessert
