Mini Marshmallow Cream Cheese Dessert

This Mini Marshmallow Cream Cheese Dessert came from my Grandmother. It was one of her favorites to go with a meal. She especially liked to serve it as a desert around the holidays.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: none
Servings: 6

Ingredients:
½ bag mini marshmallows
1(20 ounces) can crushed pineapple, drained, reserve juice
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
Maraschino cherries, drain (optional)

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, and marshmallows.
2. Then mix in pineapple and half a can of pineapple juice to
mixture.
3. Top with cherries.
Tip: Drink the remaining pineapple juice.

this looks really good. I use to just mix the marshmallow and cream cheese togather and put strawberries in it. but pineapple sounds even better.

  8. Tracy says:

This reminds me of Ambrosia which is traditionally made with sour cream instead of cream cheese. Everything else is the same, ie. marshmallows, pineapples and maraschino cherries. In fact, I just made some today. I like the cream cheese idea. So I’m going to attempt this version next. Thanks for sharing your grandma’s recipe.
