Kabobs don’t have to be boring when you’re grilling. Marinating in chili sauce gives your kabobs that extra kick on the grill.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15-20 minutes
Servings: 5
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons curry powder
3 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons mild chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
2 pounds chicken breast or thigh skinless, boneless, cut into 1 inch cubes
4 small yellow onions, peeled, cut into 1 inch wedges
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, combine minced onions, olive oil, lime juice, curry powder, honey, soy sauce, chili sauce, and rosemary. Set aside half of the sauce mixture in a bowl in the refrigerator.
2. Add chicken to the remaining sauce mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Remove chicken from sauce and dispose of sauce mixture.
3. Preheat gas grill to medium heat and grease grill racks.
4. Push chicken and onion wedges onto skewers. Place on grill uncovered for about 6 minutes; turn, baste with reserved sauce mixture every few minutes. Grill for 15-20 minutes or until juices run clear.
Tip: If you use charcoal grill spread the charcoals
