Glazes for Ham

Add an extra kick of flavor to your ham with any of these appetizing glazes. Each glaze has its own unique taste whether your palate craves a fruit flavored ham or traditional ham one of these glazes is sure to do the trick.

Ham Glaze #1 Root beer and Brown sugar
1 Ham (5-10 pounds)
1 can (12 ounces) root beer
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Mix root beer with brown sugar and pour over ham.

Ham Glaze#2 A simple blend of citrus and brown sugar
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Mix orange juice with light brown sugar and pour over ham the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Ham Glaze#3 A flavorsome blend that spreads across all of your taste buds
1(4-5 pounds) ham
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup blackberry jam
1 tablespoon water
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Combine and heat ingredients in a medium saucepan and pour over ham in spoonfuls the last 30 minutes of cooking time.

Ham Glaze #4 blends of honey and brown sugar to create a perfect caramelizing flavor.
Small Ham (double for a larger ham)
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoon water
Combine and heat ingredients in a medium saucepan and pour over ham in spoonfuls the last 30 minutes of cooking time.

Ham Glaze #5 A nutty and fruit flavor blend.
Small Ham (double for a larger ham)
1 cup apricot jam
3 tablespoons rum
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
Combine and heat ingredients in a medium saucepan and pour over ham in spoonfuls the last 30 minutes of cooking time.

Ham Glaze #6  blends of rum and brown sugar.
Small Ham (double for a larger ham)
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups rum
1 teaspoon cloves
Mix ingredients in a small bowl and apply the last 30 minutes of cooking time.

Tip: Use almost any flavor of jam on your ham to create your own unique glaze.
