Does Money Grow on Trees?

October 23rd, 2009

Every year electric and gas utility bills continues to sky rocket which has a lot of people cringing at the thought of their next power bill. Looking for ways to save money on the bill is a good start. During the cold months decreasing the thermostat or increasing it during the warmer months may cut your monthly electric or gas bill by a few bucks. Installing energy efficient windows can reduce the cost of your energy bills, improve home appearance inside and outside, and increase property value. New windows only need soap and water to clean them up, which will save you money on cleaners and it’s safer for the environment. A window that uses double glazing helps keep the heat in and cold air out of the house in the winter, and helps keep burglary’s out of your home too. Finding ways to save money, especially during the winter could significantly reduce your gas bill. One of the things I’ve found is when I cook the house stays warmer with newer windows then older windows. It helps especially on really cold days in the dead of winter. I tend to bake more cakes and casseroles during the winter months than the summer months.

I will have to look into the double glazed windows. I have never heard of those before and we need to install new windows here.

I have MS and I’m on a special diet. I want to make oatmeal cookies but can’t eat wheat flour, eggs, or sugar. Any suggestions?

Well, my mother knows and tells my every end of the year, that money does not grow on trees.

    - “Dont turn the heat on”
    - “Turn off the lights”
    - “Dont celebrate wellness, take a SHORT shower”

Who else knows these words? :)
