Dorothy L of Women’s Self Esteem Blog asked me a question:
Hello Mrs. R…would you happen to have a recipe for the fabulous ‘Ice Mocha coffee’ that they serve in Star bucks and a few other places?
Ms Recipe’s Answer:
Although, I don’t have Starbucks recipe for Ice Mocha Coffee, I do have a few tricks up my sleeve for economical flavored coffee.
You can do any of these to jazz up the taste of your coffee. I don’t recommend trying them all at once.
1. Pour boiling hot water into your coffee maker.
2. Sprinkle cinnamon over coffee grounds.
3. Pour one cap of vanilla extract over coffee grounds.
4. Pour a couple of drops of mocha, raspberry, peppermint, almond, cinnamon, coconut, or hazelnut extract. You can adjust the amount of extract according to taste buds.
5. Sprinkle a little salt on the coffee grounds to take the bitterness out of the coffee.
6. Let the flavors soak for 5 minutes prior to brewing your pot.
You can buy the extracts at your local grocery stores, specialty stores or online.

Looks interesting, I’m going to have to try it. The Ice Mocha is one of my favorite drinks from there during the summer.

Thanks for the post. Vanilla extract has always been my favorite, but I the others you listed sound very appealing too. I find that cinnamon can be too strong.
