Kitchen Tips #9

1. Place saucer  upside  down in the bottom of your salad bowl to keep salad fresher. The moisture from the leaves drains away from the salad rather being water logged.

2. Don’t add salt to salad until your ready to serve as salt causes leaves to welt.

3. Place ice cube in salad shaker bottle when mixing oil and vinegar salad dressing. After shaking remove the ice cube and discard. This helps salad dressing to be smooth and well mixed.

4. Put a few dry sponges in the bottom of the vegetable crisper to keep vegetables crisp.

5. To make potato salad more eye appealing add a few drops of yellow food coloring and mix well.

6. Store cheese with a few sugar cubes in an air tight container to prevent mold.
