Making these ribs was an experiment for me. My freezer went out so I had to cook them, but did not have any barbecue sauce. Therefore, I put on my mad scientist cap and started experimenting in the kitchen. You just never know what kind of concoction Ms Recipe will come up with next, Happy Cooking.
Prep 10 min
Cook 1 hour 30 minutes
Serves 6 (depending on size of ribs and appetite of course.)
Ingredients
6 lbs pork or beef spare ribs
1-cup honey
3/4 cup chopped onion
1-cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees (prior to cooking ribs )
2. Place ribs in a gallon Ziploc bag or large bowl. Next mix honey, onions, pepper and, soy sauce.
3. Pour mixture into Ziploc bag and, mix well. Let marinate overnight in refrigerator or at least 6 hour’s prior to cooking.
4. Place ribs onto cooking pan and then place in oven..
5. Baste Ribs frequently while cooking for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Turn ribs after cooking for 45 minutes.
Tip: Use a greased broiler pan. Place ribs on a greased cookie cooling rack that’s oven safe to keep the ribs out of sauce and place in pan. (If no broiler pan.)

They look great, I’m a huge fan of ribs, and often cook them in our slow cooker. This is my favourte rib recipe http://www.flyingkiwis.co.nz/2009/02/sticky-pork-spare-ribs/

Oh I love beef spare ribs because I don’t eat pork so those will really go down a treat.
Hmmm… preheat the oven to 300° and leave it running while the ribs marinate overnight?
