Herb & Spice Glossary Part One

Here is the list of spice and herb mixtures that I promised some of my loyal readers and any new readers who comes along. I’m only going to tempt you with one list at a time. There will be another list coming soon. So you’ll have to check back to see when I post it. Happy Blogging

Beef -thyme, rosemary, parsley, oregano, dill, ginger, mustard, paprika, oregano, basil, bay, caraway, coriander, cumin, tarragon, savories, sage, celery salt or seed ,cayenne ,chili powder ,cumin ,ginger ,juniper berries(very little),marjoram

Poultry -savory, sage, tarragon, rosemary, mint, bay leaf, marjoram, marigold, lemon balm, dill, cumin, coriander, caraway, basil, thyme, pepper, parsley, paprika, nutmeg, mustard, ginger, curry, cayenne, anise, allspice, celery salt or seed ,chili powder ,poultry seasoning, tarragon

Turkey -Thyme, sage, oregano, basil, cumin, sweet paprika, tarragon, parsley, cumin

Pork -thyme, tarragon, savory, sage, rosemary, lemon balm, fennel, dill, cumin, coriander, chervil, bergamot, basil, anise, allspice, cardamom, cloves, curry, ginger, mustard, oregano, paprika, parsley ,caraway seed ,chili powder ,cloves

Lamb -thyme, parsley, oregano, paprika, nutmeg, marjoram, ginger, fennel, dill, curry, chives, cayenne, bay leaf, basil, anise, allspice, caraway, chives, coriander, hyssop, lemon balm, marigold, mint, rosemary, sage, savory, tarragon ,cumin ,juniper berries(very little)

Fish -thyme, parsley, oregano, paprika, nutmeg, marjoram, ginger, fennel, dill, curry, coriander, caraway, bay leaf, basil, mint, turmeric, paprika, oregano, mace,, cardamom, basil, celery salt or seed ,cayenne ,chili powder ,cumin ,poultry seasoning ,tarragon

Shell Fish -rosemary, thyme, old bay, paprika, lemon pepper

Venison –sweet basil, cayenne, cumin

Goose –sage, rosemary, thyme, juniper berries (very little)

Veal –poultry seasoning, sage

Duck -dill, tarragon, sage, rosemary, mint, hyssop, savory, sweet basil, juniper berries (very little)

Liver -coriander, tarragon, sage

Eggs -lemon balm, rosemary, dill, tarragon, curry, basil, marjoram, parsley, mint, cumin, anise, chives, lovage, sage, savories, thyme, cayenne ,chervil ,sweet basil ,paprika, parsley
