Bake Bean Chili in a Crock Pot

Posted by: askmsrecipe  :  Category: Beef Recipes, Crock Pot Recipes, Turkey Recipes

This yummy simple recipe was one of those experimental recipes. I ran out of kidney beans so I used baked beans and it turned out pretty good for another experimental recipe by Ms Recipe, so enjoy.

Prep time 15 min
Cook 4 hours
Servings 10

Ingredients

2 lbs. hamburger or turkey
1 bell pepper, diced
1 (16oz) can kidney beans (drained)
2 cans (14.5) tomato, undrained
1 can baked beans (16 oz)
1 (8 oz) tomato sauce
1-tablespoon cumin
1 (48 oz can tomato juice)
2 medium onions diced
2 cloves garlic (chopped finely)
2-pkg chili seasoning
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 black pepper
2 teaspoons hot sauce (optional)

Directions

In a large skillet.brown turkey or hamburger with onions on medium heat. After the hamburger is cooked and drained, pour all ingredients into Crockpot. Cook on low 6 hours. Stir occasionally

Tip: Not all crock-pots cook the same you need to check and stir off and on for doneness.

Optional: Sprinkle shredded cheese for added flavor

I love Chili without the beans. It’s good with steamed rice. :)
