Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast- Kid friendly

It’s a sweet breakfast treat for all to eat. It’s sure to put a smile on all the kids’ faces. They will be begging for more.

Peanut better and Jelly French Toast

Prep= 5 minutes

Cook time= 5 minutes

Servings= 6 sandwiches

Ingredients:

Peanut Butter (for 6 slice of bread)

Jelly (for 6 slice of bread) You can substitute with jam or honey

1/2 cup milk/soymilk

Vegetable oil

2 eggs

Margarine

Directions

1.Bread 12 slices (if you use wheat bread remove from mixture immediately after dipping in egg mixture)

2.Whisk together eggs and milk until color of egg nog.

3.Coat the bottom of a large skillet with canola oil and margarine.

4.Butter both sides of bread with margarine. Spread peanut butter on one side and jelly on the other side.

5.Dip sandwich into egg and milk mixture and place in a hot skillet. Place lid on skillet until jelly is melted, then remove lid to brown. Leave in skillet until one side is golden brown, and then flip sides. Only leave in skillet to brown 1 to 2 minutes.

6.Remove from skillet

Optional: add extra jelly or sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Caution: the skillet  and sandwich gets extremely hot.

Tip: If you want to make more simply double or triple the recipe.
