These savory pork chops taste like chicken fried steak. I served them with a pasta salad and some butter-flavored corn.
Prep 25= minutes
Cook time= 55 minutes
Servings= 6
Ingredients
6 pork chops
1-cup soymilk (regular milk optional)
1-teaspoon season salt
5 Tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups Italian Style breadcrumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 10.75 oz cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup white wine (optional) if not using add 1/4 cup extra milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350-degree. Rinse the pork chops and pat dry. Place garlic powder, season salt, breadcrumbs and pepper in a large zip lock bag. Beat eggs in med size bowl.
2. Coat pork chops with flour then dip in eggs and coat with season salt bag mixture.
3. Fry pork chops in a large oven safe skillet, browning each side for 5 min or. until lightly brown in olive oil on medium heat.
4. Remove skillet from stove and cover with foil and bake for 45 min. Meanwhile, mix cream of chicken soup, milk, and white wine (optional) in a bowl. When the 45 minutes is up, remove foil and pour soup mixture over chops, recover and bake for 10 more minutes.
Tip: If you do not have an oven safe skillet, transfer the pork chops into a large baking pan.
